I was
born in Gadsden, AL and raised in Tuscaloosa, AL. After graduating from
high school, I received my B.S. degree from the University of Alabama
in Tuscaloosa.I then received my dental degree from the University of
Alabama in Birmingham in 1977. In 1984, I joined with my dental school
friend and colleague, Dr. David Yokley, to relocate to the Huntsville-Madison
area. I was attracted here by the high-tech environment, coupled with
a traditional Southern lifestyle.
Lifestyle is very important to me, and I want to be able to help our patients
enjoy a greatly improved quality of life. Whether it is through the delivery
of comfortable dentistry, the improvement of a smile, regaining the ability
to chew and enjoy meals, or all of the above, I feel each plays a significant
role in raising one's standard of living. It is important to me to develop
a one-on-one relationship with each of my patients so that I can tailor
my recommendations to each person's individual circumstances and desires.

I was born
on Leap Year, 1948 in Nashville, Tennessee. At the age of two, my family
moved to Florence, Alabama where I grew up. Upon graduation from Coffee
High School, I enlisted in the Navy for four years. While in the Navy
I had three tours in Vietnam. I left the Navy in 1970 and entered college
at the University of North Alabama, where I graduated with a B.S. degree
in 1974. I received my D.M.D. degree from the University of Alabama at
Birmingham in 1978.
In 1984 I joined with Dr. Porch into a genuine and lasting partnership.
I truly love my profession and the patients I serve. On a personal level,
I am married with four children. For fun, I motorcycle and collect antique
ink bottles.
